We at Harknett Music reuse and recycle everything
possible, and a little more. In an effort to become as
"green" a company as possible, anything that can't
be reused is taken to a recycling facility, including items
that are not collected at the curb.
We care about our environment.

Musicians, professional and amateur alike, schools, teachers,
students and community groups have depended on our ability
to supply a wide range of materials for over 23 years.

Harknett Music prides itself on having the best staff in the business,
and our customers can feel confident with our recommendations.
Life never stands still does it. Once again it's time to update the comings
and goings of the brilliant yet eccentric Harknett staff..

Rex Harknett

Rex has been working like a slave since he first
opened the doors to Harknett Music, just after
the cooling of the earth's crust. Now, at long last,
he's able to take a little time off to relax and has
taken up sailing! Unfortunately, you can see that he
forgot to put the plug back in after the winter.
But he does look relaxed! Doesn't he?
You bet he does.

Mary Harknett

Mary continues to deal with the day to day responsibilities of balancing
our accounts and bank deposits. Occasionally she runs into overdue
accounts that even her most vicious reminders and phone calls cannot
resolve. To this end, she's decided to become much more pro-active in
debt collection. This is a side of Mary that few have seen, but let me
tell you, we're mighty impressed! And, of course, our books are
right up to date. Way to go Mary!

Jon Harknett

Jon, Rex's brother, was pretty much in on the ground
floor of the company, and that must be why he gets
all the plum jobs. This photo shows our original
state-of-the-art warehouse. Boy what memories it brings
back *sigh*. Here's Jon out enjoying the fresh air, taking a
shipment of instruments to a school full of excited children,
using our very own Harknett Delivery Cart.

Steve Davis

Steve has been working long and hard administrating
the Harknett computer network, managing the
Piano Dept, ordering and receiving and doing the
company flyers and ads. The stress and pressure
of his job was really starting to get to him. To combat
this he bought an out-of-the-way motel which he manages
on weekends. I don't know what goes on out there,
but Steve sure is all smiles on Monday mornings!

Mike Cybulskie

Note: Joe Destafano has officially retired.
Please direct all inquiries to Mike Cybulskie.

With Joe DeStefano's retirement Mike has taken over the
Educational Print Music Dept. That includes Band, Stage Band,
Orchestra and Choral. You can see how excited he is!
With Joe's departure he has some mighty big shoes to fill,
but then Mike's got some pretty big feet!

Joy Sweeney

Joy still does a variety of different jobs here.
Her three primary responsibilities are answering
the phone, looking after customers, and doing the
bulk of our invoicing. For starters.
This sometimes requires that she juggle 2 or 3
duties at the same time! Here she is working on
her multi-tasking again as she can now successfully
answer the telephone and eat at the same time!
Keep up the good work Joy.

Daniel Smith

Daniel has fit into the Harknett "family" better than we
could ever have imagined. Despite a grueling teaching
schedule, he still finds time to work here, assisting Jon
in the Instrumental and Rental Dept. Why does he do this?
Because he LOVES it here! He loves every single thing
about the company and all his co-workers have become
life-long friends. Daniel's even (and I hope I don't embarrass
him by saying this) set aside a corner of his house as a
sort of shrine to the company! I just don't know what to say.

John Sguigna

John, of course, is our resident ecologist. He works
part-time for a recycling plant and can always be
found out in nature, doing something or other, I don't know.
He doesn't pollute and is very involved in the care of our
planet. As a part of his dedication, and for relaxation,
John rides his bike to work whenever he can.
Here he is having a nice, relaxing ride to work.
What a great way to start the day!

Browsing our website will give you a taste of what we have to offer,
